How To Play Blackjack Online. The first and main tip on playing online blackjack is to learn the rules. If you don’t know the rules of blackjack the game may become boring pretty fast. But if you know what’s behind it, online blackjack will be a great way to spend time and have some fun on the web. The cards in online blackjack have different suits and faces values. Picture cards such as King, Queen, and Jack have a ten count. Ace can be either one or eleven, depending on the player’s choice. An Ace with the value of 11 is called <<soft hand>> and the Ace with the value of one – <<hard hand>>. The total sum of card values in a hand is the hand total. The main objective of online blackjack is to have a hand total higher than that of the dealer’s but without exceeding the twenty-one count. The dealer’s object is to make you exceed the twenty-one count, that will make you lose your whole bet amount to the casino. Every online blackjack game starts when players place their bets. After that the dealer deals two cards to each player and himself. Each player has his cards face up, while the dealer has one face up and the other — face down. The face down card is called a <<hole card>>. At this point a players should decide whether he hits, stands, splits, surrenders or doubles. Hit is when you ask the dealer for an additional card. By standing you remain with the cards you’ve been dealt initially. By splitting you break two cards of the same kind. When you split it is required that you place the exact amount of your bet on the new hand created by the split. Surrender is not available on all online blackjack sites. When you double, your bet is increased twofold and you can take another card. Blackjack Bonuses When playing online blackjack or enjoying the game at a real casino table, don’t forget about using comps and bonuses offered by the casino. These casino offers will make it much more pleasurable and in some cases profitable to play blackjack both online and offline. What are Blackjack Bonuses and Comps? When you play blackjack at a casino for some time, you are likely to be offered with certain rewards, called bonuses and comps. In land-based casinos such bonuses come in form of free meals, drinks, shows or rooms. The casino <<rates>> all the players at the table and decides who can get a bonus. Bonuses and comps don’t have anything to do with your playing skills, and are based only at the time you’re plating at this particular casino and the amount you’ve spent. When playing online blackjack you can earn bonuses too. They may vary from additional amount to spend at a particular online casino for playing or real merchandise you can get when playing regularly at a casino site. What Blackjack Bonuses are Used For? Blackjack bonuses and comps are free items given by the casino to stimulate the player for more gambling. It is also a way to gain loyal players that will be willing to play more at a particular casino. By providing free items, casinos in a way return a portion of the amount the player has spent at the table, making him feel important and welcome. In case your aim at playing blackjack is to win big, you have to follow your strategy and stay focused. For good players casinos also offer discounts and free items. Online blackjack can also offer some bonuses if you play really good and are a consistent player at a particular casino.

Theres a LOT to learn when you want to beat a blackjack table. i recently answers somebodies question on this with more detail than i usually do in my answers, this is the link… http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ap0aKjvUfeN94H0ig3ouVvfty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090123050735AAwY1Pe&show=7#profile-info-mtBJIkpGaa

that explains all the necessary info for one particular card counting system.

****THIS IS THE BEST EXPLANATION AVAILABLE ON YAHOO ANSWERS**** period, idc what you think, i know more about blackjack advantage play than anybody here

If you do everything i wrote in that article, and only play when the count is high ***enough*** for you to have a player advantage as i described, you will expect to win money, there re other ways to play, and other ways to bet, but that way it the most efficient, in terms of the dollar amount you expect to win, it is however less efficient in risk aversion, and variance vs. time, which are concepts im not going to explain

there are some good links on that posting, and these are a few more.

You might be able to teach one a VERY rudimentary form of playing blackjack, whereby he/she (the dog, that is) could learn to bark or not, signifying hit or stay, when you tell it certain numbers. I can't imagine it going much beyond that though.

Pogo.com

The best site for games! You could also google your query and probably get even more results.

The differences between regular blackjack and Super Fun 21 can be found at http://www.ranked-online-casinos.com/super-fun-21-online-casinos.html You can also find casinos that offer this game online.

splitting cards.. if you get a pair of something, then you can split them. You put out an extra bet of the same amount since you are choosing to have another hand by splitting. Once they are split, you play them as seperate hands. If you split aces, you get just 1 card.
(at least where I worked.)
Play at a free game site like pogo.com .. maybe yahoo or msn games has it too. But realize you'll win more often than normal in a free online game.
They won't let you be the dealer.. you're the player in the free games ive seen.
If you go to a casino, you can ask if they give away the free card that tells you what to do in each situation.. when to hit and when to stay. Many casinos give them out free.

Here are some good tips:

Always double down on an 11. Only double down on a 10 if the dealer's face-up card is somewhere between a deuce and an eight; Aces, nines, and tens are dangerous.

Never split any fives or tens (including 10-point cards). You already have a ten with the first scenario, and a 20 is one of the strongest hands of all.

Always split Aces. Even though you receive only one card to each new hand, the potential for Blackjack is always there.

Always split eights unless the dealer's face-down card is a deuce to a five. A dealer has to take another card on a 16.

If the table requires the dealer to hit a soft hand (ace as 11), skip it. Good casinos require dealers to stop whenever they have an ace and at least a six, meaning they can't regard it as a one-point card. Bad casinos require dealers to continue until they have a hard hand (ace as one).

You might also consider looking for some Tom Ainslie books. My favorite is in this link:

Great website for learning strategy from simple tables: http://www.hitorstand.net/strategy.php

Basic Blackjack Rules:

The goal of blackjack is to beat the dealer's hand without going over 21.
Face cards are worth 10. Aces are worth 1 or 11, whichever makes a better hand.
Each player starts with two cards, one of the dealer's cards is hidden until the end.
To 'Hit' is to ask for another card. To 'Stand' is to hold your total and end your turn.
If you go over 21 you bust, and the dealer wins regardless of the dealer's hand.
If you are dealt 21 from the start (Ace & 10), you got a blackjack.
Blackjack usually means you win 1.5 the amount of your bet. Depends on the casino.
Dealer will hit until his/her cards total 17 or higher.
Doubling is like a hit, only the bet is doubled and you only get one more card.
Split can be done when you have two of the same card – the pair is split into two hands.
Splitting also doubles the bet, because each new hand is worth the original bet.
You can only double/split on the first move, or first move of a hand created by a split.
You cannot play on two aces after they are split.
You can double on a hand resulting from a split, tripling or quadrupling you bet.

Good luck!

Black Jack is a simple game that the player actually has an edge to win. It is a game of skill .. playing the odds. Practice the basics of the game over and over. When you get to Vegas, play the black jack video machines to prepare you. Use the live game instructors at most of the casinos on the strip. They are usually held in the morning hours when the crowds are low.

Finding a place to learn blackjack online is easy. The hard part is learning to play it well enough to give yourself the advantage over the house at certain times. Bodoglife.com has a good blackjack program to learn on. You should also go to a place like blackjacktactics.com to learn the basic blackjack strategy as well as the basic hi/lo count system.

As for the Casino Host job, that's a bit more difficult. That is one of the most wanted jobs in Las Vegas. You can not just walk in a get a Casino Host job. Casino Hosts work there way up through the Casino, making contacts and friends as they go. It's all about customer service and making contacts and a lot of the job is spend developing new contacts out of the Casino when your players are not in it playing. The pay is incredible if you are good, but it generally takes years in the Casino first to make it there and there are very limited spots open to get. I would suggest dealing blackjack first to work your way up through dealer, pit boss, management, etc.

I also have played BJ many years with great success. I limit my sessions to no more than 2 hours, and limit my chip loss to $15 on any table. If I lose more than that I switch tables or casinos. My win rate is around 70%, you must keep a record of all your sessions. I've have been barred in 3 casinos. You must learn basic strategy and card counting. The key to winning, is how you accept losing sessions, like the hotshots on the movie 21 that thought they could not lose.
